Welcome to the Menches Brothers Website. The Menches Brothers are the Inventors of the Hamburger and Ice Cream Cone. The story of Charles and Frank Menches is one that all America should have grown up to know.

This year, the third generation descendents of Charles Menches, has launched a major milestone in their efforts to bring the names of Charles and Frank Menches into your homes and affording them a proper place of prominence in our American Heritage. You see, Charles is our Great Grandfather and Frank is our Great Uncle. For these two gentlemen gave us the original inventions of the Hamburger and Ice Cream Cone. I will let you read the history part of the website for the stories.

The message for you today is one of witnessing and requesting support of the entrepreneurial spirit of today’s Menches Brothers family. Our objective is to have the names of Charles and Frank Menches elevated to a proper place of prominence in our American Heritage similar to that of Henry Ford and Thomas Edison.

Today’s Menches Family journey started in July of 1991. Although we always knew we were the third generation descendents of the inventors of the Hamburger and Ice Cream Cone, we didn’t know that there was an original recipe for the hamburger until discovered in 1991 by the family. Two of the ingredients in the original recipe are coffee and brown sugar. More on the discovery of these two American Staples will be in future Menches Brothers website updates. Today’s focus is on the hamburger.

I would like to offer our new readers some validation of who we are and are the stories true? Within the regional area of North East Ohio and in the past 10 years we have managed to operate two restaurants, we participated in county and regional fairs, including Hamburg NY Burger Festival, and packaged hamburger for selling in local grocery stores. Our story has been on CNN World Headline News, History Channel, A&E, The Today Show and numerous North East Ohio affiliates of ABC, CBS and NBC. Our 10 years of test marketing is now complete and we feel we are ready to bring the Original Hamburger as invented in the year 1885 at Hamburg NY to you.

Our Menches Brothers Hamburgers in the grocery stores come six 1/3 pound frozen patties in an appealing two-pound box or 20 boxes to a case. Although our product is not readily distributed in areas outside of North East Ohio, doesn’t mean we can’t get it to you. Ask and we will logistically find a way. At least for now, when you get the opportunity to try a Menches Brothers Hamburger in your area, you will have already been introduced to the product and the Menches Brothers objective.
